The Veterans of Foreign Wars folks are some of your neighbors who want to promote family oriented events for everyone in our community to share. Our aim is to help create activities to allow our families to meet each other, share fun times, and give back to our local community. Our first event, Pastoral in the Park, was born from that idea.
Pastoral in the Park is a celebration of our nation's Independence Day with music, food, contests, activities and fun for all ages. As we celebrate our Independence Day we will also seek to recognize the service of our veterans who have given so much to allow us this day of celebration.
We want to invite all members of our community to come celebrate with us. So the event, entertainment, and activities are free and open to any who want to attend. You are encouraged to bring your picnic, water & sunscreen.
We will also host all ages contests during the event!

Your organizers are just like you, members of the Lexington community. We care about our community and want to give back. If you would like to give back too, we will have donation jars at the event. ALL proceeds will go to continuing this event, creating similar events for our community, and giving to LOCAL IMPACT charities.
